Terms and conditions

Last updated 24 September 2026

The plan is not open yet, so nobody is paying anything today. These terms are published in advance so that anyone who joins the list can read them before the plan opens, rather than after.

1. What the plan is

The plan lets you type or paste words, choose a voice and a feeling, and get an audio recording of those words back. It costs ten US dollars a month. You can try the service before you pay anything.

2. What the monthly plan covers

One month of the plan covers up to 90 minutes of finished audio. That is 90 minutes of recordings you have made, measured across everything you make in that month.

Every voice and every language is included in that. Nothing is held back for a more expensive plan. Your 90 minutes resets at the start of each billing month. Minutes you do not use do not carry over into the next month.

3. If you reach 90 minutes in a month

Making new recordings pauses until your next billing month begins. You will not be charged anything extra, and nothing upgrades on its own. Recordings you have already made stay yours and you can still download them.

4. What you can do with what you make

Recordings you make on a paid plan are yours to use, including commercially. You can put them in videos, advertising, presentations, phone systems, courses and podcasts. You do not owe any further payment for using them.

Recordings made during a free trial are for trying the service out, not for commercial use.

5. What you may not do

We can suspend or close an account that does these things. Where we do, we will tell you why.

6. Paying and cancelling

The plan renews every month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time, and cancelling stops the next payment. Your plan keeps working until the end of the month you have already paid for. Prices are in US dollars and may be subject to tax depending on where you are.

7. Your words

The words you type stay yours. We use them to make the recording you asked for and to run and support the service. We do not sell them.

8. What we do not promise

We work hard to keep the service running and to make a feeling you choose come through in the reading, but we cannot promise that every recording will be exactly what you pictured, or that the service will never be unavailable. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer law where you live.

9. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects what you get, we will tell the people on the plan before the change takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change.
